Sphere Delight
Created during my residency at Amazon, the colors in this piece were chosen based on a collection of answers to the question, “What color is Amazon?” As it turns out, Amazon’s official color is orange, but only 1/2 of the respondents chose orange. What color do you associate with Amazon?

Begun during my residency at Amazon in 2019, but completed several months later. Knitting lines the center of this deltoidal hexecontahedron and spills out of the opening. Knitting is ‘breaking out’ and taking over the world.

The Fourth Ball
As part of a residency at Amazon, I created this Pentagonal hexacontehecron with a knitted chain traveling through it. Inspired by the Amazon spheres (which were inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic domes) my idea was that the structure represents the company, and the knitted chain represents the employees wandering in and through.

Work inspired by my residency at Amazon Headquarters in Seattle and the Amazon Spheres. These pieces are based on dimensional geometric forms: Pentagonal hexecontahedrons created using 60 pentagons and Deltoidal hexecontahedrons created using 60- 4-sided kite shapes.
